Have you heard the term "Synergy Health?" Well it is actually the combination of two separate terms, "synergy" and "health," to make a new concept to the holistic approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Synergy simply defined means "working together." Using the combination of physical exercise, mental stimulation and the proper diet, a person can maintain a wholesome and extremely healthy life.
Synergy health begins with the basics: a healthy diet, a workable exercise program and plenty of rest for the body to do its regeneration cycle. To be healthy and stay healthy, the body and the mind need some exercise. That's right, the mind needs exercise too! Exercising the body at the very least three times a week is what it takes to ward off disease and illness. In addition, a healthy mind is also needed to maintain a healthy body. So how does one exercise the mind?
Yoga has been used for centuries to exercise the mind. It has been said that Yoga "soothes the soul and tones the body." While you are in certain body positions, you are meditating and thereby exercising your mind. Breathing with deep and slow breaths gives your body oxygen which feeds your cells and makes them healthy. So you can easily recognize the importance of incorporating Yoga into your synergy health program.
Remember, you are the gate keeper and in control of your health. For synergy health you need to participate with proper diet, regular exercise and mental exercising. Be healthy!
