Herbalife is a company that was established about thirty years ago whose main business is to sell weight-loss, skincare and nutritional products. The typical diet that Herbalife promotes consists of only one regular meal every day (typically dinner), while the other two meals (breakfast and lunch) consists of protein-drinks or shakes. The real food meal must be balanced, low in fat and carbohydrates and high in proteins and fiber. Shakes come in different flavors and can be mixed with milk, juice or fresh fruit and they provide a high content in protein with a very low calorie intake. Multivitamins and mineral supplements must be taken three times a day to help maintain a daily balanced intake of nutrients.

The Herbalife diet is pretty easy to follow, although a little expensive compared to other similar diets in the market. People have found this nutritional regiment to be very effective, because weight loss is real and happens in a relatively short time due to the sudden and consistent drop in calories. It is also a perfect way to keep a balanced nutrient intake for busy people that often skip meals. Mixing up a shake is much easier and less time consuming than preparing a whole meal. We should be careful though. Loosing too much weight in a short time can be unhealthy. It is therefore important to not overdue it. It is important to accompany the diet with regular exercise and once the desired weight is reached a maintenance regimen should be followed. This diet can improve your health because it will reduce your body fat and cholesterol levels thanks to the low fat intake.
