Herbalife

Herbalife is a brand of weight loss products that also help with nutrition and skin care. It was founded by Mark Hughes in 1980, who sold these supplements out of his car. These products are sold today by people who are independent, like Tupperware and Avon dealers.

These products consist of a Formula 1 Nutritional Shake, Niteworks, which helps the body produce more nitric acid, and diet supplements. The supplements contain vitamins, herbs, aloe vera, and minerals. There are pros and cons to their products. Some say all you lose is muscle and water out of your system, while others who have used these products have lost at least eight pounds without an adverse reaction.

There has been some controversy surrounding the company and its products in the past. They have removed one the herbs in their supplements, ephedra, because too many people were having adverse reactions to it. There were also rumors that their pills had a higher level of lead than what is recommended for human consumption. This was tested by some independent laboratories and proven wrong. Doctors in Italy and Switzerland do caution people in taking these supplements as it has been connected to contracting hepatitis.

Some of the side effects that may occur after taking Herbalife products are tiredness, being extra nervous, and restless legs. People may also have difficulty digesting the supplements. The nutritional board of Herbalife has many doctors on it that deal with health and nutrition. They teach their sales associates about health, exercise, and nutrition, so they can convey this information to the consumer.
